Join BHA and the BLM for an important piece of stewardship work in the Boise area!
We will be inventorying a section of fencing that was recently burnt in the Valley Fire. This inventory will aid the Boise BLM in their damage assessment, and later prescription of what future work is needed to restore the landscape.
Please bring weather appropriate clothing to include footwear that’s rated for walking in rough terrain, water, snacks and a working cell phone (a charger or external power-bank is recommended). We don’t anticipate it to be a short day and the terrain can be very steep and difficult - as a group we aim to cover roughly 10 miles of fencing.
Anyone that is physically capable of participating is welcome; dogs are also allowed on the WMA at this time. We anticipate to work from
8AM to roughly
3PM and a wild game
lunch will be provided for participants. We will meet at the
Boise River WMA IDFG Archery Range (43.5620254, -116.0613087) prior to 8AM to make introductions and talk through the plan of the day.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
