Come out, give back to public lands, and camp out under the stars knowing you gave back to our public lands! Removing and modifying the fence will benefit the remnant population of sage grouse in North Dakota. In addition, the project will not only open but also improve accessibility to local pronghorn as they migrate throughout the year.
This area contains the largest contiguous BLM property in the state of North Dakota. ND BHA has partnered with BLM in an effort to improve the habitat of the landscape in an effort to provide conservation for sage grouse, pronghorn, mule deer, and countless grassland birds that call North Dakota their home. This property also provides numerous opportunities for hiking, bird watching, hunting, and many other outdoor recreations.
What to bring:
• Close toed shoes or boots
• Personal water bottle
• Gloves
• Food
• Camping gear, if planning to camp out
Tools will be provided. This opportunity is open to all, so bring your family, friends and hunting buddies. Hope to see you there!
