Annual fitness competition gets bigger and better with $30K in prizes
for miles covered, social media posts, funds raised for conservation
MISSOULA, Mont. – Backcountry Hunters & Anglers’ annual Hike to Hunt Challenge, a hiking and fundraising competition that encourages sportsmen and women to get in shape while raising funds to conserve North America's wild public lands and waters, returns in 2019 bigger and better. More than $30,000 in prizes will be awarded during the two-month Hike to Hunt, which kicks off June 1.
Running through July 31, BHA’s 2019 Hike to Hunt Challenge includes weekly social media contests and prizes for most miles hiked and funds raised. BHA members can get in on the action by downloading the free Under Armour “Map My Hike” app and joining the “Hike to Hunt Challenge.” Participants track their hikes and trail runs to compete for the amazing array of prizes, all provided by BHA corporate partners in the name of public lands conservation.
“BHA’s Hike to Hunt is back for the third year and bigger than ever,” said Ty Stubblefield, BHA chapter coordinator and new chapter development. “If you want to get in shape, experience camaraderie and raise money for your favorite wild places, this is the place to do it. We’re thrilled to work with conservation-minded corporate allies to provide a fun and fitness-based summer competition that the whole family can enjoy!
