Rebekah Lumkes is a master's student in Environmental Science at Washington State University with a focus on Wildlife Conservation, specifically mule deer. Previously, she spent several years working on research projects capturing, collaring, and monitoring white-tailed deer in the eastern United States. Her thesis is focused on female mule deer in southeastern Washington and how they are selecting habitat and migrating in an agriculturally heavy area. She'll be talking about her project, the CRP program, what habitats seem to work best for mulies, and what helps fawn survival the most. In her free time not spent hunting, Rebekah enjoys trail running and backpacking.
