Join us during bear season this Fall for an educational seminar and campout in Mendocino National Forest with California BHA board members Chad Thomas & Cody Ramsey!
We will be covering many different aspects of bear biology and bear hunting strategies including:
- What food sources they will likely be consuming at this time of year
- How to identify black bear sign
- black bear habitats
- What elevation bears will likely be in at this time of year
- How to identify a black bear boar vs. sow
- Strategies for shot placement
- Wind direction and movement
- and much more
We will be camping out for the weekend and will have a wild game potluck during the seminars on Friday and Saturday night.
Space will be limited so attendees will be selected through a random draw. We will announce the winners of the draw at the end of summer.
