The next region 2 meet-up is at The Port Coquitlam and District Hunting and Fishing Club.This event is your opportunity to learn practical firearm safety and skills, practice target shooting, and connect with other outdoor enthusiasts with a passion for wildlife conservation. For seasoned shooters, come share knowledge and hang out!Knowing that this day is geared specifically to you if youre curious about getting your PAL for target practice or hunting. Participants will learn safety, handling, and practical shooting skills. Get comfortable on the range while under instruction by experienced firearms training providers.This family-friendly event is open to all ages and skill levels. BHA Members and non-members. RSVP HERE!Rifles & Ammo: Bring your own rifle, or there will be a limited number of 22LR rifles available for use and complimentary 22lr ammunition donated by Reliable Gun. The range is open to 22LR, 9mm, and 410 shots.Safety & Instruction: No PAL required. Instruction time donated by PCDHFC staff and Silvercore Advanced Training Systems.Dress for the weather outdoors, and bring snacks and water for the dayTickets: $25 per adult and free for youth/kids under 16 years of age. Were working with an MSc Candidate for Ecological Restoration at Simon Fraser University to gather data that will focus on whether the abundance of two generalist species differs between several habitat types.British Columbia BHA has been working for years to gain non-profit status in Canada, and its a slow process. Without this status, its impossible to have the resources to take on large-scale wildlife conservation projects.
