WERE GOING BACK TO GET THE REST OF THE TIRES!!!
Last September we had a great success removing 130 tires from an illegal tire dump in the Ouachita National Forest. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get them all because we ran out of room to haul them out, so we’re going back to get the rest of them March 25th!
We’ll meet at the newly remodeled Williams Junction Store at the intersection of HWYs 9&10 between 0830 and 0900 to caravan a few miles down the road to Ouachita NFR 153. We will stage vehicles at NFR 153 and Hwy 9,this is a maintained two track road so we won’t be able to have everyones vehicles at the site. Google Maps link below for directions.
All you need to bring is gloves, some tools for prying tires out of the ground, and if you have a vehicle with a winch, that will help a lot.
