Join us for a heartwarming day of conservation and camaraderie at Buckhorn Lake in Hazard, KY, on April 26, 2025 starting at 10:00 a.m. The Kentucky Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, in collaboration with the U.S. Corps of Engineers, invites you to roll up your sleeves and help us build a brighter future for our feathered friends.
We're diving into a hands-on project focused on creating birdhouses and updating trail markings to enhance avian habitats in this beautiful area. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a first-timer, your contributions will make a real difference. So, bring your gloves, hand tools (like drills and hammers), sturdy work shoes, and dress for the weather.
After a fulfilling day of work, we'll gather for a light lunch on-site to share stories and celebrate our efforts. Don’t forget your cameras and binoculars! This is a fantastic opportunity to spot and identify various bird species, so let’s make some wonderful memories together.
This event is perfect for families, so bring the kids along! It's a chance to teach them the importance of conservation and to enjoy the great outdoors together. We can’t wait to see you there and look forward to making a positive impact on the environment while having fun!
Please RSVP so we know you're coming, and we look forward to a great day!
