For the second year in a row, members and supporters of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers gathered at Big Truck Farm Brewery for the 2nd Annual 3D Archery Challenge — and it was nothing short of a bullseye.
Roughly 80 attendees came out to shoot 3D, share stories, and have a beer in support of Mid-Atlantic BHA. The course was a perfect mix of fun and challenge, featuring a few trick shots on the practice range and a steel plate thrown in to keep things interesting. Between rounds, folks gathered over cold beer, exchanging tips on gear, telling stories, and forming new connections.
While the archery and beer were great, the chance to come together face-to-face was what made this event meaningful - a rare opportunity to connect across state lines, align on shared goals, and strengthen the relationships that keep our chapter moving forward. Our chapter spans Maryland, Virginia, D.C., and Delaware, so opportunities like this to gather are rare and precious. We even had a few of our PA members in attendance as well.
We wrapped up the day with an incredible prize drawing. Logan was our lucky winner, taking home a Hoyt Z1S generously donated by Autumn Sky Outfitters, along with gift cards from First Lite and XOP, and a last-minute addition from Koby Fulks at Big Truck — a stunning Montana Knife Company blade.

This challenge was about more than archery, it was about community, conservation, and our shared commitment to protecting the wild places we all cherish.
