Now that the final public input opportunity on Amendment 7 has concluded, you might be wondering what happens next. Here’s a quick rundown of what we’re expecting.

ASMFC’s 2022 Spring Meeting is scheduled for May 2-5, and will be held in a hybrid format that allows for both in-person and remote participation by Commissioners and interested stakeholders. Within this meeting, the Atlantic Striped Bass Board is scheduled to meet from 11:30 AM – 5:15PM on Wednesday, May 4 to consider Final Action on Amendment 7.

Details on how you can join the Striped Bass Board’s meeting are posted near the top of the 2022 Spring Meeting page. While not available currently, we’re expecting to see the ASFMC staff’s breakdown of public input on Draft Amendment 7 soon, and that will be posted near the Striped Bass Board’s portion of the agenda.
