Alaska Small Game Program Pint Night
PHOTO: ADF&G, Rock Ptarmigan
The Alaska Department of Fish and Game's (ADF&G) Small Game Program is dedicated to conserving Alaska's small game resources for future generations. Biologists in the program focus on studying and understanding the diverse populations of grouse, ptarmigan, and hares throughout the state.
The statewide Small Game Program (SGP) has four primary responsibilities including management (S&I), research, outreach, and providing recommendations to the Board of Game regarding small game hunting regulations. In addition to their research, the program offers educational opportunities, including courses and seminars, to help hunters and outdoor enthusiasts gain a deeper understanding of small game hunting opportunities in Alaska.
ADF&G offers educational opportunities, including courses and seminars, through either Alaskans Afield or Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) and these events often feature collaboration with Small Game Program staff. Check out these opportunities here:Outdoor Camps & Skills Clinics, Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
Small Game Program staff welcome opportunities to present information on small game management and research to conservation groups, student groups, and members of the public.
Join Alaska BHA and Cameron Carroll, ADFG's Small Game Program Coordinator on Wednesday January 15th at BearPaw River Brewing Company at 7PM to hear more ADF&Gs Small Game Program and opportunities to get involved.

This Pint Night is one is a series sponsored nationally by onX Hunt!
As are all of our Pint Nights, this will be a casual, fun way to meet fellow backcountry enthusiats, swap stories and learn about BHA and our mission to conserve wild public lands, waters, and wildlife. BHA members advocate for public hunting and fishing and we work to maintain and improve access to places to hunt and fish. We also speak up for wildlife, guided by the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. Finally, we believe in and advocate for fair chase in pursuit of fish and game. If those ideals resonate with you, please come join us to learn more and maybe become part of BHA.
This event is free and open to all. Our friends at onX Hunt will provide a free, one-year Premium One State Membership for the first 15 attendees who initiate or renew a BHA membership at this event.
Alaska BHA will also be raffling off a NEBO electric cooler at this event!
Say goodbye to the hassle of dealing with melting ice and welcome the game-changer – NEBO's electric cooler! Perfect for keeping drinks hot or cold on road trips to your hunt destinations, or keeping your patarmigan cold, but not wet, as you drive home from your hunting adventure.
Entries will be $5 each or 3 for $10*!
