Vandenberg SFB is proud to host its first ever AFI Event January 21st, 2023.
If you are interested in learning about Pocket fishing or what pocket fishing is please sign up for attendance and email [email protected] letting them know you are attending.
Please plan to meet at the parking lot right outside the north gate where you can be signed in if not allowed on post. We have a local tackle sponsor for tackle but please bring your own fishing gear, rod, and reel if you have it. Bring a cooler if you plan on keeping the fish you catch.

- How to target certain species of fish
- basic fish breakdown and meat preservation and cooking suggestions
Vandenberg AFI will also be hosting a pint night to celebrate the days catch at Naughty Oak Brewing after the event with raffle prizes, swag, and more. Please reach out with any questions.
