AFI Event Review (Turkey Camp 2021)

Event Review Turkey Dual Skills Camp 2021

Thank you so much for hosting this turkey event. I was able to harvest my first turkey with a shotgun but that's not why this event was important. This event was important because the day I got out of the Navy I lost all sense of who I was and what my mission in life is. I've always loved the outdoors and I've been involved with hunting and fishing for the past several years. The piece that ties it all together is combining my peers in the military community with my love for the outdoors. Allowing me to contribute conservation while simultaneously helping my brothers and sisters work through the same struggles I had 10 years ago is an insanely good idea and I'm embarrassed I didn't have it first. Thank you BHA in the Armed Forces initiative for hosting this event.

About Trevor Hubbs

I grew up running hounds on coyotes and raccoons, spent a fair amount of time public land waterfowl hunting, and have hunted upland birds behind my setters across the midwest.
