AFI Event Review (Great Lakes Salmon 2021)

Great Lakes Salmon 2021

Before this event I was at a heavily regulated army training event that lasted for months in a very intense field environment. The culmination of this training means that I will now be entering the next stage of my career with an increased deployment tempo. During my break between trainings, I was home in Wisconsin and my dad thought it would be good for me to go on this trip. I thought I would miss time with my family, but I didn't quite understand the time why, Dad thought this trip would be good for me.

However, after the presentation from Wisconsin game and fish, salmonoid research center and a morning spent on the water with other veterans I realized that I didn't actually miss my family as much as I missed that feeling of being in the military. Thank you so much for teaching me how to make use of this amazing resource.

I caught over 100 lbs of Salmon to take home and gained a skill I can take to my new duty station in the PNW

About Trevor Hubbs

I grew up running hounds on coyotes and raccoons, spent a fair amount of time public land waterfowl hunting, and have hunted upland birds behind my setters across the midwest.
