The Armed Forces Initiative of BHA is hosting 18 veterans on a wilderness canoe trip into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in the vicinity of Ely, MN August 24th through the 30th. We will be fishing, talking conservation, and learning how to use our voice as veterans to impact the public land and water discussion.
Interested participants should know this trip will involve 10 plus miles of paddling a canoe per day along with several one or two mile portages over rocky terrain carrying all your gear for the week.

Note: Space is limited so once you RSVP you will receive a separate email requesting you to fill out a Google form application to be considered by our board members for attendance. Strong candidates will show their interest in the outdoors and conservation with demonstrated history of veteran advocacy and conservation volunteering with any organization. Ability to paddle or fish is not required but strongly recommended. Please ensure the email you use to apply and that is listed on your BHA profile is correct before RSVPing.
Military affiliation and a BHA membership is required for attendance (Veteran, National Guard, Reserves, Active Duty, Gold Star Family)
