The NJ chapter of the BHA in Partnership with the NWTF and US Fish and Wildlife Service invites adults with little to no hunting experience, to join us on a mentored hunt on the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge. This is a multi-day event where participants will attend an orientation and deer hunting seminar. The hunt will take place on Wallkill Refuge property reserved exclusively for mentored hunts, and will span a morning and afternoon session, with lunch in between. Each participant will be paired with an experienced bow hunter for the duration of the day. This event will conclude with a deer processing day, where participants will learn the basics of processing a deer from start to finish.
Orientation – 11/5 6-9pm , Hunt - 11/6 pre-dawn (tbd) , Processing – 11/14 (tbd)
