Q: Was the pricing structure fair?
A: usage of the term ”Fair” makes this a difficult question.
While the virtual experience had no value to me, I opted to allow BHA to keep my ticket revenue under the assumption fundraising is down due to cOVID-19 policy.

Q: Would you like to see more events like this going forward?
A: Respectfully no, it’s difficult if not impossible to foster relationships through an online presence. People experience things and learn through visual, audio and tactile experience. Arguably tactile is the most effective and most enjoyable method and it is absent from the online experience.
At best online experiences resemble watching television or playing video games. The experiences are almost entirely devoid of the warmth of human experience.

Q: What would you like to see more of?
A: Respectfully, I’d like to see more of the dedicated and well meaning folks in Missoula and more of the dedicated and well meaning board members discount the opinions of well meaning visitors and discount the rehearsed discussions of well financed NGOs with noteworthy media presence but no presence at FWC meetings, no presence at water management district meetings, no presence at Sportsman’s Trust meetings, and no presence at any meeting where sportsmen work with each other and work with the land managers who do the heavy lifting regarding Florida Conservation, but happened to be backed by sources with clear ties to entities with questionable motive.
I’d like to see more of the well meaning folks BHA communicate proactively with the volunteers In Florida prior to forming opinions regarding entities operating in Florida.
I’d like to see more of the well-meaning folks at BHA proactively communicate concerns well in advance of taking action thriller to take action which might unintentionally cause inconvenience and insult to the volunteers working on behalf of BHA in the state of Florida.
I’d like to see more of a clear and detailed accounting of how revenue collected from the dues and fundraising of Florida members was distributed through the Southeast Chapter and and clear accounting illustrating the differences (if any) between how revenue would have been allocated if allocated by state membership dues raised by state vs how funds were actually split.
I’d like to see more of a change to the current BHA fundraising split where states retain 80% of the revenue raised in the state to direct to membership and conservation efforts in the state the funds are raised especially when the volunteers bear 100% of the expense, time and risk of failure to host an event.
Please know my comments are not made with the intent to confrontational or condescending. The items mentioned her achievable and likely for the efforts of the volunteers working not only in Florida but other states as well. The end I realized that all of us care about conservation and are driven by similar motivations.
