2nd annual Michigan BHA Public Land Owner Round Up

The Michigan chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers is pleased to announce our 2nd annual chapter round up! This Celebration of Michigan’s public land is scheduled for Aug 16th-18th and will be located at Buckley’s Mountainside Canoes in Mount Pleasant, MI.

In the two years of our chapter’s existence we have grown from 40 to now over 717 members state wide and have begun to have our voices heard. Now it’s time to celebrate. Join us for this weekend of fun, education, and celebration of our public lands and waters.

Friday-
Hike to Hunt Trip at 7pm on Bundy Hill
Backcountry Filmfest at 9pm at the Livery

Saturday-
8:30am - Michigan Chapter Board Meeting


9:30am-10am Drew YoungDyke (chapter co-chair ) Kickoff

10am-11am  - Thom Jorgenson and Stephen Daugherty - " Why Your Hunting Arrows Are To Light" 

11am-12pm  - Chad Stewart (Deer, Elk, and Moose Bioligist for Michigan DNR) Chronic Wasting Disease

12pm - Lunch break

1pm - 2pm    - Courtney Nicolson - "New Rules for Dating a Hunter" Women in the outdoors.

2pm - 3pm    - Bob Busch (chapter co-chair)- Canoe 101


3pm - 7pm Backcountry games and Archery Dunk Tank
River Trips, Fishing, etc...
7pm Michigan BHA Rendezvous Public Land Ownin' Party
BBQ from Blue Shed
Michigan Beer
Live music from Anarcho-Country Legend Chit Holdem

Sunday-
