NM BHA and the New Mexico Wild Sheep Foundation are once again co-hosting a Wild Game Tasting featuring locally sourced bighorn sheep along with other wild game. This night of dining, education and celebration of one of New Mexico’s premier big game species is Friday, February 7th at Three Sisters Kitchen in Albuquerque. Guests will be split into two groups with the first learning about this iconic species during a presentation from Mr. Brandon Wynn, an avid sheep hunter and conservationist. The second group will be able to interact with the staff of Three Sisters Kitchen led by Chef Craig Jones as they operate two action stations in the café area and serve up small bites like Potato and Sheep Chorizo Tacos and Braised Antelope with Blue Corn Dumplings. These bites will be paired with handpicked beers from local Canteen Brewhouse and guests will have access to additional brews throughout the night. Groups will then switch rooms so each gets to experience both the hunting presentation and tasting stations.
One lucky guest will walk away with a $500 pair of Vortex Viper 12 x 50 HD binoculars. Each guest will receive one free raffle ticket with the opportunity to purchase more at the event. This event is kid-friendly and open to non-members. Proceeds benefit the New Mexico Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and the New Mexico Wild Sheep Foundation.
