The Michigan Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers is excited to host the 2024 MI BHA Chapter Rendezvous! This family-friendly event is always a highlight of the summer and this year will be yet another wonderful weekend with like-minded folks that share a passion for the outdoors and conservation!
Once again, the event will be hosted at Looking Glass River Sportsmen Club in Laingsburg, MI (near Lansing) on July 26-28. This exciting event provides attendees with wonderful opportunities for conservation education, fun activities, raffles, BHA merch, delicious food, camping, and excellent networking! Attendees have always departed fulfilled and empowered to continue making their mark in conservation!
Ticket options are available below with many covering all weekend plus camping or simply a Saturday ticket. Folks wanting to attend all weekend may arrive any time after 1pm on Friday. If you plan to come Saturday, activities will begin early, and we will have an event itinerary posted in the coming weeks.
This year at the event, attendees can expect the following:
- Friday night fireside story time and fellowship. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, share stories, swap field tactics, and get to know the folks at the event.
Saturday - Full Day of Engagement
- Educational sessions and demonstrations including:
- DNR Public Lands Office presentation o Knife sharpening workshop
- MI DNR tools for hunt planning o What to Bring for a Backcountry Hunt
- Additional sessions listed soon!
- Casting Contest and Slingshot Madness - Kid Friendly
- Long-shot/Silvery Arrow Archery Competition
- Wild Game Potluck Pitch-in- Cook some of our favorite wild game recipes and share them for Saturday group dinner!
- Saturday evening Chapter Roundtable Discussions covering topics such as Michigan BHA, state/national policy, and conservation efforts around Michigan.
Attendees will also have opportunities to shoot the fantastic archery course at the facility! It's just $5/round or $20 to shoot all weekend (another great reason to arrive early Friday! This is a wonderful opportunity to get in some great practice!
Last but not least, we will have over $1000 of some sweet RAFFLE PRIZES at the event!
