We’ll be opening the evening discussing Texas BHA, our growth as a Public Outreach Committee, and what is in store for 2020. We will also have guest speaker - Game Warden Kevin Malonson.
About Kevin
Kevin grew up fishing and migratory bird hunting. While interested in law enforcement he had very little knowledge of the Texas Game Warden career path. He enlisted in the Navy as a High School senior, during Persian Gulf War Era. He became interested in being a warden after positive interactions with Texas Game Wardens while fishing and waterfowl hunting in Matagorda area during his college years. After attending Lamar University and earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice he served as a game warden from 2001 to 2013 after which he began working as a recruiter. He has a 16 year old daughter to enjoy outdoor excursions, hunting and fishing with. He hopes that their time together afield impresses upon her the tremendous value of conservation.
