Between spring turkey season, the designation of the Rio Grande del Norte and the reintroduction of the Columbine-Hondo Wilderness legislation, NM BHA has been busy, to say the least.
Two quick updates:
-You’re invited to Colorado BHA’s 5th Annual Rendezvous – Every year Colorado BHA members gather for a weekend of camping, grilling, fishing and camaraderie with fellow backcountry sportsmen. This year, Colorado BHA has invited New Mexico BHA members to join the event, scheduled for June 6-8 at the Florida Group Camp Ground, just north of Bayfield, CO. -More good news from Northern New Mexico and Taos County – The Columbine Hondo Wilderness Act has been reintroduced and it continues to enjoy overwhelming support from a broad coalition of public land users and elected officials. If you have hunted or fished the Columbine Hondo and have pictures, stories or anecdotes that you would be willing to share, PLEASE send them along to Tim Brass. We’d like to continue to build the case for why the protection of this area is so important to New Mexico sportsmen.
