Join the Iowa Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers in partnership with Lyon County Conservation and Wilderness Lite Float Tubes for a Learn-to-Fly-Fish seminar.
Our event will begin with a classroom presentation from Dan Fraiser. Dan is a renowned fly angler, guide, and author of The Orvis Beginners Guide to Carp Flies. Anglers of all skill levels will discover how to target local fish species such as Bluegill, Crappie, Bass, and more with fly fishing equipment. Enjoy lunch provided by Wilderness Lite Float Tubes, then head outside for casting practice and float tube demonstration, and finish the day by putting your skills to use fishing the shores of Lake Pahoja.
This event is open to all ages and skill levels and is free to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own fly fishing gear: rods, reels, flies, waders, etc. A limited amount of loaner gear will be available as well.
