|Blake instructing daughter (and future traditional bowhunter) Marlie on the finer points target acquisition.|
Blake lives in Boise, ID with his wife Brandie, daughter Marlie, son Cash, and hound dog Luke. He has never lived anywhere else and can't really see why anyone would live anywhere else. Hobbies: Hunting. Anywhere, anytime, well not as much since the kids were born. He doesn't hunt to kill, but rather hunts to hunt.
An avid traditional bowhunter he hunts exclusively with his recurve, and broadheads of his own design. When not hunting in the backcountry you can find him running with his hound dog (and usually pushing the kids) to keep in shape for his next hunt.
Hunting hard is what he likes, chasing hounds, climbing after goats, or dropping in on a high country mule deer. He can't wait to get his kids big enough so that he can take them with him on his adventures.
|Bruce and his faithful pal 'Hank.'|
Bruce Smithhammer lives in Teton Valley, Idaho, where he writes for numerous sporting, regional and conservation magazines. He is co-owner of the digital publishing company, Pulp Fly, and blogs about his upland adventures at Mouthful of Feathers. When not doing this he can be found harassing fish with a long skinny stick, chasing birds with his favorite canine pal Hank, and wandering far from the nearest road with a longbow.

Derrick is fortunate to live in close proximity to some of the premier backpack hunting opportunities in the lower 48, and became active in BHA to help ensure that the opportunities he enjoys are available for his children.
