Speak Out! Action Alert: HR 1581

NOW is the time to speak out for our rights to hunt and fish on National Forests and BLM land. Congress is considering a bill that would remove existing protections on millions of acres of wild, undeveloped public forests and range land, opening them up to possible bulldozers and motorized traffic. The BLM and Forest Service calls these places “wilderness study areas” and “roadless areas.” We call them our “honey holes,” “secret spots” and the headwaters of our best fisheries.

Please call your Congressman and Senators and urge them to OPPOSE the “Wilderness and Roadless Area Release Act of 2011.” Tell them you are a hunter and angler who uses national forests and BLM land with your friends and family.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Call your Representative and Senators, via the Capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121. Ask the operator to connect you to your Member’s office. Please tell the receptionist at your member's office that you oppose HR 1581, and S. 1087, the Wilderness and Roadless Area Release Act and urge him/her to oppose it. Or send an email to your senators and representative!

Don’t forget to tell them you are speaking for the future of hunting and fishing in the United States.
